Tanzania v/s Birmingham Civil Service

Date: 20th August 2008

Tanzania played its second tour match against The Birmingham Civil Service Cricket Club on a wet and damp wicket.

The Tanzanian Captain Hamisi Abdallah made the ideal decision of bowling first and the bowlers responded to just what the doctor ordered getting the opposition all out for 67 runs.

Khalil Rehemtullah sent the openers for an early shower by picking up 2 early wickets that exposed the Birmingham Civil Service middle order early who became victims to spinners Kassimu Nassoro and Riziki Kiseto allowing them to pick 3 wickets each.

In reply to the Birmingham Civil Service, Tanzania lost Issa Kikasi early on, but Shahid Dhanani and Kassimu Nassoro were looking solid in the wicket at 11 for the loss of one wicket when the British weather had its final say by washing out the match which was surely heading towards a Tanzanian Victory.

Mini Score Card
