Tanzania wins its final build up game against Countesthorpe Cricket Club to wind up its UK tour.

Tanzania lost the toss on a bright sunny day against Countesthorpe CC and was sent to field. A good opening bowling spell from Khalil Rehemtulla damaged the Countesthorpe CC top batting order by taking 4 early wickets. Tanzania’s medium pace bowler Ally Mpeka and spinner Kassim Nassoro together took the remaining 5 wickets to dismiss the rest of the Countesthorpe CC batsman in the 43^rd over for only 140 runs on the board.

In reply to the Countesthorpe CC low score Tanzania’s batsmen comfortably chased the score in the 37^th over for the loss of 5 wickets to win its final build up game of its UK tour played in Leicester.

Coach Zully Rehemtulla said that it has been a great cricket week and we would like to thank our hosts Watford Town Cricket Club for their support, cordial hospitality and well organized tour for our team. He said winning 3 out of the 5 scheduled matches against strong combined sides is a great achievement making our tour fruitful. It was a great opportunity for our young players to play against first class players which will benefit them in the forthcoming event in Italy.
