Uganda triumph despite a Fareen Nazerali Special

In the battle to fight for a spot in the finals, Kenya and Uganda played their last league based game at Anadil Burhani ground.

Kenya won the toss and elected to field first. Uganda's Barbra Mukankusi and Felicia Mukasa started to bat; but they didn’t last long.  Later Christine Aryemo and Nakitto Jackie stabled the situation and were a treat to the Kenyans side. Playing her debut game Farheen Nazrali of Kenya took 4 wickets and got the Uganda’s innings to an end. Uganda set a target of 107 runs for Kenya to win.

Kenya in reply to the target set by Uganda Collapsed earlier and never looked to recovered and their dreams of playing for the finals in the Africa Women's Cricket Tournament where shuttered.

The woman of the match was Farheen Nazrali of Kenya. She was asked to comment on her debut game she said “It’s honor to play for Kenya and I am happy to take this four wickets although we didn’t win”.

This result qualifies Uganda for the finals against Tanzania on Monday 12th April 2004 at the Annadil Burhani Ground.
