Tanzania wins against Cayman
In 2007 ICC WL DIV 3 Darwin, Cayman defeated Tanzania
by 10 wickets, but today Tanzania settle the score to avenge their
defeat after two and a half years with a 43 runs victory over them at
the Pinora Oval.

Nassoro led the Tanzanian Team in absence of the skipper Hamisi Abdallah
who is nursing his back injury that occurred in yesterday’s match
against Nepal. Tanzania won the toss and elected to bat first. In spite
of four silly run outs Tanzania still managed to put a score of 197/9
with Abhik Patwa scoring 39, Seif Khalifa scoring 38, Khalil Rehemtulla
scoring 29 and Benson Mwita with a quick 32 off 25 balls.
In defending the score of 197, once again the duo
opening seamers, Khalil Rehemtulla (3) and Benson Mwita (1) picked up 3
early wickets in the first 5 overs, putting the Cayman Islands batting
line up on the back foot, and clearing the way for the spinners to rip
through the rest of the batsmen. Harsh Ramaiya took 3 wickets, Riziki
Kiseto picked up 1 wicket and the Stand in Captain Kassim Nassoro picked
up 2 wickets and took a wonderful catch which also won him the man of
the match award.
