Tanzania looses against Hertfordshire Development XI in a tough fought battle.

Tanzania won the toss on the second day and elected to bat first. The Hertfordshire openers did early damage to the Tanzanian top order batsmen to get three early wickets in 4 overs for only 9 runs on the scoreboard.

A good 100 run partnership from skipper Hamisi Abdallah and Shaheed Danani who got a 50 stabilized the Tanzanian inning. Two crucial run outs of Khalil Rehemtulla and Benson Mwita hampered the Tanzanian planned targeted score of 220, and settled down for 196/9 in their allotted 50 overs.

In reply the Hertfordshire Development XI’s W.Oxley scored a brilliant century and driving their team to a victory in the 48^th over for the loss of only 3 wickets.

Tanzanian batsmen will definitely take a leaf from the Hertfordshire batsmen.
